We are delighted to invite you to join an exclusive webinar hosted by Emergent and the Government of Côte d’Ivoire on 22nd April 11am ET, 4PM BST, exploring how companies can support one of West Africa’s most ambitious forest protection programs.
Côte d’Ivoire has made significant strides in safeguarding and restoring its forests, with work centered around Taï National Park — one of West Africa’s largest remaining tropical forest ecosystems and cocoa-producing landscapes. Via the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF), the country has already received $50 million in funding in return for emission reductions and removals generated through its programs.
Revenues from these transactions are already flowing directly to communities and small holder farmers in Côte d’Ivoire, directly supporting livelihoods. As a result of the success of this program Côte d’Ivoire has additional high-integrity emissions reduction and removals credits, now available for private sector buyers to support ambitious climate and nature goals.
Government representatives, existing corporate participants and community representatives will share their perspectives, demonstrating how this model supports corporate climate action and Côte d’Ivoire’s sustainable economy based on healthy forests and real benefits to communities on ground.
Join this session to learn how your company can:
• Purchase high-integrity jurisdictional credits from a World Bank backed program
• Protect and restore forests while supporting your climate and nature goals.
• Advance sustainable supply chain goals by backing policies that reduce deforestation and promote more sustainable and efficient cocoa production, which protects, rather than destroys forests.
• Support sustainable development in Cote D’Ivoire and deliver real impacts to people on the ground.
We look forward to welcoming you,
