Ariel Matalon is Emergent’s Strategy & Special Projects Fellow, based in New York. Prior to joining Emergent, Ariel spent four years in consulting, including two years at McKinsey & Company. His work there focused on the energy sector and advanced industries, with an emphasis on energy transition strategy and execution. Ariel is a trained particle astrophysicist and holds an international dual Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago and Sorbonne Université. Outside of Emergent, Ariel is an avid soccer player, crossworder, and birder.
